How to get backward home,forward links on your site

Some websites have Backward | Home | Forward links at the bottom of their page. These allow you to go back a page if you need to, get to the home page, or go forward a page (provided you went back at least a page). This can be done using a simple javascript code. Copy and paste the following code, and add it wherever you’d like the links to appear.

These can also be customized very easily, for example you can include << or >> and center the links:
